Once upon a time living an endless cycle of acquiring stuff (using stuff, then throwing stuff away) was seen as stupid, profligate and for the ignorant. We only have one planet. Where is all the stuff we throw away going to end up?
Back then we loved the tools we had, and we bought quality, planning to cherish and use stuff forever.
But since the invention of plastics that all changed and suddenly the idea of a man having grooming tools that lasted more than a week was all but forgotten.
We are here to change the catastrophic status quo that exists in your daily grooming.
We think tools should be enjoyable each and every time you use them. We think you should keep your tools for your lifetime, and take pride in them that whole time.
We believe you should treasure your stuff and love your planet. What better place to start than the start of your day?
The problem is the state of our daily grooming routine. There is... More

Broderie upcycles and personalizes clothes with embroidery designs! The aim is to prolong the lifetime of a garment as much as possible and inspire you to adopt sustainable methods in preserving your clothes.
With each project I’m involved in, I see to it that it’s undertaken efficiently — from the initial brainstorming session and first rounds of sketches all the way to the final illustration. Most of my designs are hand-drawn, digitized, and embroidered by me. Having digitizing software, allows me to reproduce images into embroidery format and personalize your wardrobe with your favorite design.
Working with different artists and creators just like me, allows for a community to be formed and I can only feel humbled and delighted to be part of this. Each of these items was handmade and unique, created with love and passion.
The Last Toothbrush You Will Ever Buy
Doop is the first-ever recycled and recyclable head-removable toothbrush.
Bristles should be replaced every 3 months as they lose effectiveness in cleaning and damage gums. With doop, there is no need to replace the whole toothbrush.
sustainably made recyclable bpa free responsible design
We believe that plastic pollution is a problem mainly created by irresponsible design practices. Something that lasts hundreds of years in the environment shouldn’t be used only for a few days, months. Then why change the whole toothbrush when only the bristles get worn? To answer this question, we assembled a team of engineers and designers and created doop. Doop is not only... More

Have you ever noticed how our towns, cities, streets, parks, schools, cinemas, trains, planes and theme parks are being taken over by random white splodges? Have you ever taken the time to stop and look at exactly what these splodges are? Unfortunately not the work of a radical artist, alien invasion or simply a random act of nature, these splodges are a product of irresponsible chewing gum disposal.
These white splodges may look like a worthless waste but that does not mean they are cheap. It costs councils across the UK £60 million pounds a year to remove chewing gum litter from our streets.
So why do we do it? Why do we litter our streets? Destroy our surroundings with a dirty eyesore? Allow others to stand or sit in our poorly disposed of chewing gum? Unfortunately, we cannot answer questions on the wonders of mankind, but what we can do is offer a solution to this sticky situation. Gumdrop Ltd was founded by Anna Bullus in 2009 to tackle the global problem of chewing... More

Mykor is a biotechnology and design company which has at its core digital design and bio-fabrication inspired by nature. We strive for a cross-disciplinary approach combining design, biology and technology, to create a limited series of objects with a unique aesthetic.
Our fabrication technique involves the use of 3D printing, alongside mycology to inoculate and propagate mycelium on urban wood waste from Kent.
We source our wood waste from the Medway council and local sawmills. The council's waste is a result of cleaning urban green areas and it would otherwise be discarded, incinerated or used as a fertiliser.
This material cycle of production comprehends:
Collection of wood waste and mushroom spores.Wood pasteurisation and addition of natural dyes. Inoculation of the wood waste in sterile lab conditions. Addition of natural dyes after wood pasteurisation. After a week to two weeks,... More
#Suckõrs produces each of its straws as an outcome of the 12-stage process. Raw material with suitable joint lengths and strength is selected from harvested reed. The health of the plant is prematurely investigated as it is examined for any insects or mold settled inside. It is as natural as it gets!
From there the straw blanks are cut and fabricated. The attention paid in the early stages of production often determines the final quality and lifetime of the straw
Even more vital than shaping the reed is to cleanse reed properly in order to ensure product safety for drinks and food use. Both inner and outer surfaces are cleaned using specialist tools we have developed. The reed straws are sterilized with heat treatment, which removes the natural bacteria and microbiological entities.
We also recommend to have your straws boiled in water or heated in the oven every once in a while in order to further extend the lifetime, keeping them clean and stiff.... More
VYN was founded by Catherine Meuter and Stefan Mathys in 2019. Our goal is to encourage the customer to re-evaluate his spending and move away from a disposable mind-set to one where he takes care of his sneakers and enjoys them for longer. Together we have designed over 40 collections for various brands in Italy, UK and Norway.
VYN came to life over a discourse about the sneaker industry being one of the most polluting in the fashion industry. Production costs are increasing and the consumer is being asked to pay more, accept lower quality and even less longevity in his sneakers. VYN is our answer to create a sneaker that is made to last.
With our combined expertise of over 15 years in the footwear industry as designers and developers of world leading footwear brands we wanted to answer our burning question: how do you create a sneaker that is made to last? We listened to friends, relatives... More

We see value where others see waste
The fast-fashion system has resulted in a major overflow of textile waste. Our mission is to move to a more circular fashion industry, where we reuse textiles instead of wasting them. We believe that the discarded textiles deserve a second chance since most of the materials are perfectly fit for reuse in new designs.
At Wair, we are a bunch of sustainability nerds creating a solution to the wasteful fashion industry. Did you know that less than 1% of all textiles produced are being recirculated back into the fashion system - like WHAT? We believe that we can change this through the power of upcycling!
