The Last Toothbrush You Will Ever Buy

Doop is the first-ever recycled and recyclable head-removable toothbrush.

Bristles should be replaced every 3 months as they lose effectiveness in cleaning and damage gums. With doop, there is no need to replace the whole toothbrush.

We believe that plastic pollution is a problem mainly created by irresponsible design practices. Something that lasts hundreds of years in the environment shouldn’t be used only for a few days, months. Then why change the whole toothbrush when only the bristles get worn? To answer this question, we assembled a team of engineers and designers and created doop.

Doop is not only a toothbrush. It’s who you are. It’s a statement. It’s a bold move. Doop is for people who care about the environment and take action about it in every aspect of their lives. Sustainable can be beautiful and stylish, so doop is a polished, exquisite design object.

The science behind eco-design.

Doop was designed concerning an eco-design concept that minimizes the effects on the environment. To do so, our team ran an analysis on doop’s lifecycle.

During 5 years, 20 toothbrushes are recommended for a safe and healthy utilization — one every 3 months.

World health matters.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. We designed and produced doop with, of course, the contribution to the SDGs in mind.

Embracing plastic.

Plastic is a versatile and ubiquitous material in the global economy. It is light, durable, mouldable, and waterproof. That’s why we choose plastic, polypropylene, for producing doop. Most of all, because it is durable. We focused our energies on responsible design and not creating one more unnecessarily disposable object.
